STCS Ranked #1

STCS has been ranked #1 by Buffalo's Business First magazine. STCS is #1 out of 287 elementary schools. The previous four years standardized NYS test scores were used to base the rankings, beginning with the most recent year of 2008-2009. Our current Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth graders achieved a standard of excellence that is second to none.

Congratulations to our students, faculty and staff for this collaborative effort. Job well done by all. Our Middle School ranking changed 46% for the better this year, to #89 out of 212 middle schools. Great focus and dedication everyone!

STCS Welcomes New Principal

Mrs. Donna J.Sweet, Archbishop Walsh Academy Principal, will serve as principal for both Archbishop Walsh and Southern Tier Catholic School for the 2010-2011 school year. Mrs. Sweet served on the Archbishop Walsh Board and managed the International Baccalaureate process as Walsh seeks to offer an IB Diploma Program. Mrs. Sweet's children attended Walsh, and she believes strongly in Catholic Education. She is looking forward to serving as principal of Southern Tier Catholic School in the upcoming school year.
